আমি মা । কিন্তু সন্তান সন্তান করে মাথা খারাপ করে ফেলা মা আমি হতে চাই না। আমি চাই আমার জীবনে সকাল থাকুক, এক কাপ চা থাকুক। অবসরে গান থাকুক। ইচ্ছে হলে এক্কেবারে একা একটা চকোলেট পেস্ট্রি বা এক প্যাকেট চিপস্ খাওয়া থাকুক। কিংবা থাকুক সাবানের ফেনায় তৈরী করা বুদবুদ। আমি ছুটির দিনে একটা মুরগীর ঠ্যাঙ চাই, আমার পছন্দের চ্যানেলটা দেখতে চাই।

আমি চাই আমার নিজের একটা সাজের তাক, বাথরুমের একটা কোনা থাকুক আমার স্নানের জিনিস রাখার। আমি চাই আমার এক্সক্লুসিভ একটা লিপস্টিক যেটা আর কেউ পরবেনা আমি ছাড়া। আমি দিনে অন্তত আধঘন্টা আমার নিজের সময় চাই। আমি চাই আমার খাবার একটা আলাদা থালা, পরিস্কার থালা যেখানে কারো উচ্ছিষ্ট খাবোনা আমি, তার জন্য বাড়িতে ডাস্টবিন আছে। আমি বয়স হলেও মেরুন রঙ পরতে চাই, লাল টকটকে লিপস্টিক লাগাতে চাই। "তোমায় মানাবে না", যেদিন থেকে নিজের মনে হবে, সেদিনই বন্ধ করতে চাই।

আমি চাই আমার একটা দিন থাক, যেদিন দোকানে যাওয়া হবে কেবল আমার জামা কিনতে। রেস্টুরেন্টে অর্ডার দেওয়ার আগে সবসময় জিজ্ঞেস করা হবে আমার পছন্দের খাবার কী? আমার পছন্দের জায়গায় ঘুরতে যাওয়া হবে বা আমার কথা শোনার জন্য আমার স্বামীর দিনে অন্তত আধ ঘন্টা বরাদ্দ থাকবে। সুযোগ এলে বরের সাথে ওয়ার্ল্ড ট্যুর যেতে চাই, থাক না ক'দিন সংসার অগোছালো। ফুরিয়ে যাক বাজার। ছেলে বা মেয়ে ক'দিন ডাল ভাত বা ম্যাগি খেয়ে থাকুক, তবু বেরিয়ে পড়তে চাই।

আমি মা,কিন্তু এমন মা হতে চাই না যেন সন্তানের প্রতি এতই টান থাকবে যে তাকে তার নিজের বৌয়ের সাথে দেখলেও বুক জলবে আমার..😊

আমি মা কিন্তু তার চেয়েও আমি আগে চাই একটা সুখী মানুষ হতে। জীবনে সন্তানের জন্য সব কিছু বিলিয়ে দেউলিয়া হওয়ার পর, বড় হয়ে "কি করেছো আমার জন্য?" শোনার মত সহ্যশক্তি আমার নেই। তার চেয়ে বরং আমি চেষ্টা করব খুউউব ভাল থাকতে। তাহলেই হয়ত আমার সন্তান বুঝবে মা'ও মানুষ। মায়েরও খিদে পায়, ঘুম পায়, কান্না পায়, ইচ্ছে পায়। জীবনে সমস্ত কিছু ত্যাগ করে শেষ বয়সে সন্তানের অবহেলা কুড়োনোর চেয়ে, সবটা চেটেপুটে উপভোগ করে স্বার্থপর মা হয়ে থাকতে আমি রাজী।
