জুলাই মানে রক্ত ভেজা শহর।
জুলাই মানেই আগুনে পুড়ে যাওয়া নিষ্পাপ শিশুর শরীর।
জুলাই মানে মায়ের কোল খালি হয়ে যাওয়া আর্তনাদ।
জুলাই মানে হাজারো লাশের স্তূপ,
হাজারো কান্নার সুর যার প্রতিধ্বনি থামে না।

জুলাই আসলেই ইন্টারনেট নিঃশব্দ হয়ে যায়,
পানির দাম হয় সোনার চেয়ে দামি,
রিকশা ভাড়া মানুষে নয়, যেন যুদ্ধে টিকে থাকার মূল্য।

জুলাই মানে স্বজনহারা বুকফাটা কান্না,
জুলাই মানে “আর কতো?” এই প্রশ্নের উত্তরহীন প্রতীক্ষা।

আমরা আর এই জুলাই চাই না।
আমরা আর চোখের সামনে শিশুর রক্ত,
মায়ের অসহায় চিৎকার দেখতে চাই না।

জুলাই, তুমি থেমে যাও।
তোমার আগুন, তোমার রক্ত, তোমার ভয়.
আমরা আর বইতে পারছি না।
