Denotation, Connotation & Collocation — English-এর তিনটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ Concept একসাথে! 📚

একটি English word-এর dictionary meaning জানলেই কি তার সম্পূর্ণ meaning জানা হয়ে যায়?

Not always!
একটি শব্দের Denotation হতে পারে তার সরাসরি বা dictionary meaning, Connotation বোঝাতে পারে সেই শব্দের সঙ্গে যুক্ত feeling, idea বা association, আর Collocation হলো এমন কিছু word combination যা English-এ স্বাভাবিকভাবে একসঙ্গে ব্যবহৃত হয়।

এই lesson-এ সহজ উদাহরণের মাধ্যমে শিখুন—

🔹 Denotation — What a word literally means
🔹 Connotation — What a word suggests or makes you feel
🔹 Collocation — Words that naturally go together

Examples:

📌 Dog → Denotation: an animal that barks
📌 Dog → Connotation: loyal, friendly, faithful

I AM AT HOME vs I AM HOME — দুটো কি একই? 🤔

অনেক English learner মনে করেন “I am at home” এবং “I am home” একইভাবে ব্যবহার করা যায়। কিন্তু বাস্তব English-এ দুটির ব্যবহার ও emphasis-এর মধ্যে সূক্ষ্ম পার্থক্য আছে।

এই ছোট্ট lesson-এ জানুন—
