এক পশলা বৃষ্টির পরে নেমে আসে যেমন শান্তি
রৌদ্রমাখা দিনের শেষে তেমনি ভর করে ক্লান্তি...

সেই ক্লান্তির রেশ কাটাতে
মাঝি ছেলেপেলে জেলে এলেবেলে
পথিক শ্রমিক সকলে মিলে
খুঁজে কেবলই এক পশলা বৃষ্টির সুবাশ,

ফুল পাতা ফল পাখি ঝাঁকে ঝাঁকে
মেতে ওঠে ওরা সব একে একে
কই যেন এক মাতাল হাওয়া তোলে নতুন সুর
বৈশাখী আকাশ ধেয়ে নিয়ে আসে সর্বনাশী বাতাস।
