বরাবরের মতো সমসাময়ীক দেশের জাতীয় দুর্যোগে বাংলাদেশের জনপ্রিয় সাহিত্য সংগঠন "সাহিত্যকুঞ্জ" বানভাসিদের পাশে থাকার চেষ্টা করেছে। সাহিত্যকুঞ্জ'র সাথে জড়িত সবার প্রচেষ্টায় আমরা নগদ ২১৭৩৫ টাকা ৯৫ পয়সা ( একুশ হাজার সাত শত পয়ত্রিশ টাকা পঁচানব্বই পয়সা ) অর্থ সংগ্রহ করেছি। এবং সাহিত্যকুঞ্জ'র দুর্যোগকালীন কমিটির সিদ্ধান্ত অনুযায়ী ২১৭৩৫/- টাকা ৯৫ পয়সা আস-সুন্নাহ ফাউন্ডেশনে পাঠিয়ে দিয়েছি। আমরা আশা করছি আপনাদের দেওয়া অর্থ আমরা সঠিক জায়গায় পাঠাতে পেরেছি। আগামী দিনগুলোতে আপনাদেরকে সাথে নিয়ে সাহিত্যকুঞ্জ এগিয়ে যাবে বাংলা সাহিত্য ও সংস্কৃতিকে বুকে ধারণ করে।
প্রিয় বন্ধুরা আপনারা যারা বানভাসিদের কাছে ত্রান নিয়ে যাচ্ছেন দয়াকরে কেউ সেল্ফিবাজি করবেন না। মনে রাখবেন, আপনার উদ্দেশ্য হলো সেবা করা, সেল্ফিবাজি না।
বন্যা পরবর্তী সময়গুলো আরও কঠিন হবে। সুতরাং আপনারা এবং আমরা সবাই মিলে সহযোগীতা অব্যাহত রাখবো।
