"Teaching is like trying to keep a room full of balloons underwater – just when you think you've got one under control, another pops up somewhere unexpected!"

"Being an educator is like being a stand-up comedian. You have to deliver great content and hope your audience (students) laughs at the right moments!"

"Teaching is a bit like a never-ending game of hide and seek. You hide your frustration, and the students seek more of your attention!"

"Learner Learns to Learn"

A learner's heart, an open book,
With every turn, a new outlook.
In the realm of knowledge, they explore,
Seeking wisdom, wanting more.

They question, ponder, never tire,
With curiosity that sets on fire.
From mistakes, they truly glean,
Each lesson learned, a step unseen.

Through valleys low and mountains high,
They chase the stars up in the sky.
In every subject, they find delight,
As they journey toward the light.

A learner's path, a winding road,
With every challenge, they're bestowed.
But with each step, they grow and glean,
The endless joys of being keen.

So here's to learners, young and old,
Whose hunger for knowledge never grows cold.
In the world of wonder, they discern,
The joy of learning, the flame to burn.

In life, we face both good and bad,
Accepting flaws, we're never sad.
We shape our world, with each new day,
Finding meaning along the way.

In halls of learning, young and bright,
Students chase knowledge, day and night.
Books and dreams their hearts do fill,
Seeking wisdom, a boundless thrill.

With pencils, papers, minds so keen,
They paint their futures, yet unseen.
Teachers guide with wisdom's hand,
In this journey, they understand.

Through lessons hard, they strive and grow,
With every challenge, their skills they show.
For all students, a path so wide,
In their hearts, a world inside.

In classrooms, labs, and libraries vast,
They build a future, strong and steadfast.
For in their quest, they'll surely find,
A world of wonder in every kind.

So let us cheer for students all,
As they rise and answer the knowledge's call.
In their learning, they'll surely shine,
Bright futures ahead, a grand design.

"Imagine someone claims they can predict when they'll get angry, but if they're right, their anger isn't unpredictable, and if they're wrong, they can't predict it. So, their temper seems both predictable and unpredictable at the same time, creating a paradox."

The paradox of our time in history is that we have taller buildings but shorter tempers, wider Freeways, but narrower viewpoints. We spend more, but have less, we buy more, but enjoy less. We have bigger houses and smaller families, more conveniences, but less time. We have more degrees but less sense, more knowledge, but less judgment, more experts, yet more problems, more medicine, but less wellness.

We drink too much, smoke too much, spend too recklessly, laugh too little, drive too fast, get too angry, stay up too late, get up too tired, read too little, watch TV too much, and pray too seldom. We have multiplied our possessions, but reduced our values. We talk too much, love too seldom, and hate too often.

We've learned how to make a living, but not a life. We've added years to life not life to years. We've been all the way to the moon and back, but have trouble crossing the street to meet a new neighbor. We conquered outer space but not inner space. We've done larger things, but not better things.

We've cleaned up the air, but polluted the soul. We've conquered the atom, but not our prejudice. We write more, but learn less. We plan more, but accomplish less. We've learned to rush, but not to wait. We build more computers to hold more information, to produce more copies than ever, but we communicate less and less.

These are the times of fast foods and slow digestion, big men and small character, steep profits and shallow relationships.

These are the days of two incomes but more divorce, fancier houses, but broken homes. These are days of quick trips, disposable diapers, throwaway morality, one night stands, overweight bodies, and pills that do everything from cheer, to quiet, to kill. It is a time when there is much in the showroom window and nothing in the stockroom. A time when technology can bring this letter to you, and a time when you can choose either to share this insight, or to just hit delete...
