সিলেট কিংবা ফেনী—যখনই দেশের কোনো কোণে বন্যার পানির নিচে মানুষের হাহাকার আর আর্তনাদ শোনা গেছে, চট্টগ্রামের মানুষ ঘরে বসে থাকেনি। সামর্থ্য অনুযায়ী টাকা, ত্রাণ আর ভালোবাসার নৌকা নিয়ে সবার আগে ছুটে গিয়েছিল বিপন্ন মানুষের পাশে। কারণ আমরা জানতাম, দুর্যোগে কোনো মানচিত্র থাকে না, মানুষের পরিচয় একটাই—আমরা বাংলাদেশি।
কিন্তু আজ? আজ যখন চট্টগ্রামের পর পর কয়েকটি উপজেলা বন্যার পানিতে পুরোপুরি নিমজ্জিত, হাজার হাজার পরিবার পানিবন্দী, বুক সমান পানিতে দাঁড়িয়ে মানুষ একটু ত্রাণের জন্য অপেক্ষা করছে, তখন চারপাশটা কেমন যেন নিস্তব্ধ!
আজ চট্টগ্রামের এই ভয়াবহ পরিস্থিতি নিয়ে মূলধারার গণমাধ্যমগুলোতে তেমন কোনো জোরালো 'হাইপ' নেই, সোশ্যাল মিডিয়াতেও নেই সেই চেনা তৎপরতা। যে চট্টগ্রাম সবসময় অন্য সবার জন্য বুক বাড়িয়ে দিয়েছে, আজ তার এই চরম বিপদে পাশে দাঁড়ানোর মতো কাউকেই যেন খুঁজে পাওয়া যাচ্ছে না।
দুর্যোগের কি তবে কোনো ভৌগোলিক বৈষম্য আছে? নাকি চট্টগ্রামের মানুষের বুক ফাটলেও মুখ ফুটে কাঁদতে পারে না বলে আমাদের কষ্টগুলো সবার চোখে অদৃশ্য রয়ে যায়?
মিডিয়ার ক্যামেরা আর আপনাদের নিউজফিড হয়তো আমাদের অবহেলা করছে, কিন্তু চট্টগ্রামের মাটি ও মানুষ এত সহজে হার মানার নয়। নিজেদের লড়াইটা আমরা বরাবরই নিজেরা লড়ে এসেছি, এবারও লড়বো। তবে দিনশেষে এই নীরবতা ও উদাসীনতা আমাদের হৃদয়ে একটা মস্ত বড় প্রশ্নচিহ্ন রেখে গেল!
আল্লাহ আমাদের সহায় হোন। চট্টগ্রাম দ্রুত এই বিপর্যয় কাটিয়ে উঠুক। 💔
