একজন স্বৈরশাসক গড়ে উঠার পেছনে সবচেয়ে বেশি ভূমিকা রাখে মিডিয়া। এ মিডিয়া যদি তার সঠিক ভূমিকা পালন করে তাহলে স্বৈরশাসক তৈরি হওয়া বেশ কঠিন।

আপনে গত ১৬বছর মিডিয়ার ভূমিকা দেখলেই ব্যাপারটা সহজে বুঝতে পারবেন। যেসকল মিডিয়া চাটুকারিতা, তেলবাজি না করতো সেগুলা বন্ধ হয়ে যেত। অন্যদিকে যারা এসব করতে পারতো তারা বিরাট অট্টালিকার মালিক হয়ে যেত।
