🚀 Calling Passionate Minds: AI/ML Research-Oriented Study Group
I’m starting a research-oriented AI/ML group where we’ll regularly meet to:
✅ discuss AI/ML/DL topics together
✅ read papers + share insights
✅ build small projects
✅ and potentially conduct personal research in a collaborative environment

This is a voluntary initiative to bring motivated people onto one platform — to learn together, think together, and innovate together.

Who can join?
🎓 Running bachelor’s students or fresh graduates
🐍 Prior experience in Python / AI / ML / DL is appreciated but not mandatory
⚡ Active, responsive, and genuinely eager to learn

A day to remember!

Today, I participated in the Selection Day for the BRAC IT Chess Masters 2025, organized under the Bangladesh National Chess Federation. I recently learned how to play chess just to participate in this event. This was my first-ever tournament, and I won 3 out of 5 games, advancing to the next round. I'm happy that I was able to put up a good fight against players who were far higher ranked than me.

সিস্টেমেটিক রিভিউ করবেন যেভাবে

গবেষণা জগতে সিস্টেমেটিক রিভিউ শুধু একটি পদ্ধতি নয়, বরং একাডেমিক কাজের মান যাচাইয়ের নির্ভরযোগ্য মানদণ্ড। এটি সাধারণ লিটারেচার রিভিউয়ের মতো কেবল তথ্যের সারসংক্ষেপ নয়; বরং নির্দিষ্ট প্রশ্নকে কেন্দ্র করে পূর্ববর্তী গবেষণাগুলোকে নিয়মতান্ত্রিকভাবে খুঁজে বের করা, বাছাই করা ও বিশ্লেষণের একটি পূর্ণাঙ্গ প্রক্রিয়া। এর ফলে গবেষণার ফলাফল হয় স্বচ্ছ, নির্ভরযোগ্য এবং পুনরাবৃত্তিযোগ্য। তাই বৈজ্ঞানিক সিদ্ধান্ত গ্রহণে আজ সিস্টেমেটিক রিভিউ অপরিহার্য। এ বিষয়ে লিখেছেন থাইল্যান্ডের এশিয়ান ইনস্টিটিউট অব টেকনোলজির পিএইচডি ফেলো এবং বাংলাদেশ কৃষি উন্নয়ন করপোরেশনের সহকারী পরিচালক আব্দুল্লাহ-আল-জাবির।

সিস্টেমেটিক রিভিউ কী?
সাধারণ রিভিউ অনেক সময় লেখকের মতামতনির্ভর হয়, যেখানে পক্ষপাতের ঝুঁকি থাকে। কিন্তু সিস্টেমেটিক রিভিউ হয় নিয়মতান্ত্রিকভাবে। একটি স্পষ্ট গবেষণাপ্রশ্নকে সামনে রেখে বিশ্বব্যাপী বা নির্দিষ্ট ক্ষেত্রভিত্তিক প্রবন্ধ খুঁজে বের করা হয়, নির্দিষ্ট মানদণ্ড অনুযায়ী বাছাই করা হয় এবং স্বচ্ছভাবে বিশ্লেষণ করা হয়। প্রতিটি ধাপ নথিভুক্ত থাকে, যাতে অন্য গবেষকেরাও চাইলে একই প্রক্রিয়া অনুসরণ করে ফলাফল যাচাই করতে পারেন।

কেন সিস্টেমেটিক রিভিউ গুরুত্বপূর্ণ?
এটির মূল শক্তি হলো স্বচ্ছতা, নির্ভরযোগ্যতা এবং প্রমাণভিত্তিক সিদ্ধান্ত গ্রহণের ক্ষমতা। বিচ্ছিন্ন গবেষণা যেখানে খণ্ডিত তথ্য দেয়, সেখানে সিস্টেমেটিক রিভিউ ভিন্ন ভিন্ন গবেষণার ফল একত্র করে একটি সমন্বিত চিত্র হাজির করে। এটি নতুন জ্ঞান তৈরির পাশাপাশি গবেষণার ফাঁক চিহ্নিত করে এবং নীতিনির্ধারণেও শক্ত ভিত্তি গড়ে দেয়।

গবেষণা প্রশ্ন নির্ধারণ
পুরো প্রক্রিয়া শুরু হয় একটি স্পষ্ট ও সংক্ষিপ্ত প্রশ্ন দিয়ে। ডোমেইনভেদে PICO, SPIDER, PICo বা COSMIN কাঠামো ব্যবহার করা যেতে পারে। যেমন: ‘ডিজিটাল শিক্ষা কি বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় শিক্ষার্থীদের ফলাফল উন্নত করে?’

প্রটোকল তৈরি
এরপর গবেষণার পরিকল্পনা বা প্রটোকল তৈরি করতে হয়। কোন ডেটাবেইসে অনুসন্ধান হবে, অন্তর্ভুক্তি ও বর্জনের মানদণ্ড কী, তথ্য সংগ্রহ ও বিশ্লেষণের ধাপগুলো কী—সব স্পষ্টভাবে নথিভুক্ত থাকে। PROSPERO, OSF, INPLASY বা Cochrane Library-তে প্রটোকল নিবন্ধন করলে গবেষণার গ্রহণযোগ্যতা বাড়ে।

ডেটাবেইস সার্চ
প্রবন্ধ খোঁজার জন্য Scopus, Web of Science, PubMed, ERIC, IEEE Xplore, JSTOR ইত্যাদি আন্তর্জাতিক ডেটাবেইস ব্যবহৃত হয়। কার্যকর সার্চের জন্য সঠিক কিওয়ার্ড, Boolean অপারেটর (AND, OR, NOT) ও সার্চ স্ট্র্যাটেজি অপরিহার্য।
প্রবন্ধ বাছাই
প্রথমে রেফারেন্স ম্যানেজারে সব প্রবন্ধ রাখা হয় ও ডুপ্লিকেট বাদ দেওয়া হয়। এরপর শিরোনাম ও সারসংক্ষেপ দেখে অপ্রাসঙ্গিকগুলো বাদ পড়ে। অবশেষে পূর্ণ প্রবন্ধ পড়ে চূড়ান্ত নির্বাচন করা হয়। এই ধাপ সাধারণত PRISMA Flow Diagram দিয়ে উপস্থাপিত হয়।

তথ্য সংগ্রহ
সব গবেষণা সমান মানের নয়। তাই Cochrane Risk of Bias Tool, JBI Checklist ইত্যাদি ব্যবহার করে গবেষণার মান যাচাই করা হয়। দুর্বল গবেষণা বাদ দিয়ে শক্তিশালী ফলের ভিত্তিতেই সিদ্ধান্ত নেওয়া হয়।

তথ্য বিশ্লেষণ
এখানে দুটি পদ্ধতি ব্যবহার হয়—
■ Narrative synthesis: কথার মাধ্যমে ফলাফল ব্যাখ্যা।
■ Meta-analysis: পরিসংখ্যান দিয়ে ফলাফল একত্রিত করা। বিশেষ করে মেটা-অ্যানালাইসিস গবেষণাকে করে আরও নির্ভরযোগ্য।

আলোচনা ও উপসংহার
এই অংশে মূল অনুসন্ধান, সীমাবদ্ধতা ও ভবিষ্যৎ গবেষণার দিক তুলে ধরা হয়। অনেক ক্ষেত্রে Plain Language Summary যোগ করা হয়, যাতে সাধারণ পাঠকও সহজে বিষয়টি বুঝতে পারেন।

রিপোর্টিং গাইডলাইন
সিস্টেমেটিক রিভিউ প্রকাশের জন্য সবচেয়ে বহুল ব্যবহৃত নির্দেশনা হলো PRISMA 2020 Statement। এর ২৭টি চেকলিস্ট ও ফ্লো ডায়াগ্রাম গবেষণার প্রতিটি ধাপকে স্বচ্ছভাবে উপস্থাপনে সাহায্য করে।

সহায়ক টুল
রিভিউ সহজ করতে নানা টুল ব্যবহার করা যায়। যেমন—RevMan বিশ্লেষণে, Methods Wizard পরিকল্পনায়, Zotero ও EndNote রেফারেন্স ম্যানেজমেন্টে, Rayyan প্রবন্ধ স্ক্রিনিংয়ে এবং Covidence পুরো প্রক্রিয়া একসঙ্গে সম্পন্ন করতে।

সিস্টেমেটিক রিভিউ গবেষণাকে করে আরও স্বচ্ছ, নির্ভরযোগ্য ও প্রমাণভিত্তিক। এটি শুধু গবেষকদের জন্য নয়, নীতিনির্ধারক ও সাধারণ পাঠকের কাছেও হয়ে ওঠে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ তথ্য ও সিদ্ধান্তের নির্ভরযোগ্য উৎস।

Yesterday, 4th September 2025, I had the privilege to take the first session of AI/ML Bootcamp 2025, organized by IEEE Computer Society Premier University Student Branch Chapter. It was their first ever event also!
We had an engaging session on the basic programming concepts using Python and how libraries can be utilized in the AI/ML domain.
It always feels amazing to give back to my university, especially to our CSE department, as I'm forever indebted to it because it shaped me into what I am today. It's an honor to accept token of appreciation from the Registrar Iftekhar Monir sir & our very own Chairman Syed Md. Minhaz Hossain sir.
