Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh.
Today, we come together with heavy hearts to mark 25 August — Rohingya Black Day. On this day in 2017, the Myanmar military launched a brutal campaign against the Rohingya in Rakhine State. Villages were burned, women were r***d, children were killed, and over 750,000 people were forced to flee to Bangladesh. The United Nations called it a “textbook example of ethnic cleansing.”

We remember this day to honor the lives lost and the survivors who still live with pain and uncertainty. We say to the world: “Never Again” must mean action. Human rights must apply to all — including the Rohingya.

To all people of conscience: Do not forget the Rohingya. Raise your voice. Stand for justice. Support the right of Rohingya to return home with safety, dignity, and full citizenship.

Let this day remind us that we are one ummah, united in our duty to seek truth and justice. May Allah grant mercy to the martyrs, strength to the survivors, and justice for all. Ameen.
