We lost our homes, don't take our future
Our childhood is paused by poverty, not peace
We are children, not crisis numbers
These are the real voices of Rohingya students in the refugee camps.
Not spoken out loud, but written with broken books and heavy hearts.
They once sat in classrooms with teachers, lessons, and dreams.
Today, many are sitting in silence because their learning centers have been shut down.
All this is happening because of major funding cuts, especially from UNICEF.
Classrooms are disappearing
Books are gathering dust
Dreams are being held back
They are not asking for sympathy
They are asking for the chance to learn, grow, and hope again
Even in exile, they still believe in education
Even in poverty, they still write their dreams on paper
Even in silence, they still carry a voice
Please don’t scroll past them
Every closed school is a closed future
Every forgotten child is a lost opportunity
Let’s not let that happen
