Dear Honourable Leaders,
Heartiest greetings to you from the Leaders Forum BD (LFB), a 3,700-strong global group of corporate leaders and managers from 23 segments based in Dhaka. It was founded as a Facebook group on 13 June 2020 at an overwhelmingly unusual time when Bangladesh and beyond its border was consumed by the coronavirus pestilence. It was registered on 12 June 2022 as an LFB Trust.
As a knowledge centre, the LFB’s express aim is to support the exchange of expertise as well as experience among all non-political policymakers, practitioners and development experts in the corporate world of Dhaka and other capitals across the world to give something back to society, highlighting the important role corporate leaders from banks, financial institutions, real estate and other sunrise industries play in finding solutions to promote inclusive and sustainable socio-economic development. Under its ‘Future Leaders’ scheme, the LFB runs a hub or a “factory” named ‘LFB Young Leaders Development Program (LYLDP) for grooming and making young corporate leaders. As part of the initiative, the LYLDP has successfully completed the first batch of training and is now working on their placement in selected corporate sectors. The LFB has recently teamed up with the Bangladesh Doctors Foundation (BDF) to train and groom its members in communications and office management. What is more, the LFB is also going to launch a corporate training program for newly-appointed young leaders working in the real estate and finance sectors. For your information, the LFB is going to hand over the LFB Leadership Excellence Award-2022 to 23 corporate leaders this November as a sequel to the maiden LFB Leadership Excellence Award-2021. The grand jury board includes corporate biggies like Rubaba Dowla, prominent banker and financial industry specialist Muhammad A (Rumee) Ali, architect FR Khan, ICAB vice-president NKA Mobin FCA and Abdullah-Al-Manun, chairman at Japanese Studies Department, Dhaka Unieversity. As a corporate heavyweight, the LFB cherishes your marked presence and contribution to its potential growth. We strongly believe all these public-spirited initiatives will boost the profile of the organisation and the causes it has been advancing.
