When I know I haven’t wronged you… I don’t care if we never speak again.
Because I’ve learned that peace is priceless, and not every silence needs to be broken. I’ve reached a stage in life where I no longer beg for understanding or chase after explanations. If my heart was pure, my intentions were good, and I did all I could — that’s enough for me. I don’t lose sleep over people who choose distance when I offered honesty.
Too many times, I’ve carried guilt that wasn’t mine to bear. I’ve replayed conversations in my head, wondering what I could’ve said differently, when the truth is — nothing would’ve changed. Some people aren’t looking for peace, they’re looking for control. And when you stop bending to please them, they call it attitude.
But I’ve outgrown that cycle. I don’t need to prove I’m the “good one.” I don’t need to chase closure from people who were never sincere. I’ve learned to protect my energy, to let silence speak for me, and to walk away with grace when respect is no longer mutual.
So no, I don’t care if we never speak again — not out of anger, but out of self-respect. Because when I know I haven’t wronged you, I owe you nothing but distance and peace.
