Additionally, the ACC received complaints regarding monthly extortion money collected from unauthorized roadside shops and a truck stand operating in front of the office. Investigators also found allegations that a former BRTA employee occupied an office room to direct the broker syndicate, reportedly accumulating substantial illicit wealth through these operations.

Signed by Professor Dr Nilufa Ahsan on behalf of the principal on September 6, the notice follows allegations that Sifat posted derogatory and obscene remarks on Facebook on September 3 targeting the prime minister, home minister, and the government regarding an electricity bill discrepancy, which subsequently went viral.
