If you see the full moon tonight,
breathe in her magical light.
Release your burdens into the moonbeams,
then follow your dancing heart into your dreams. 🌙

“Look up at the stars and not down at your feet. Try to make sense of what you see, and wonder about what makes the universe exist. Be curious !” – Stephen Hawking

"The largest, most beautiful, most wonderful, most original, most unique old town fair in all of Europe" - as far as the quote from a fair fan is concerned.

The All Saints' Fair in Soest is the largest old-town fair in Europe annually in Soest's old town. In fact, it is at least 684 years old, but it is probably much older. It always begins on the first Wednesday after All Saints' Day. It is a cult event in the heart of Westphalia, Germany. Every year there are more than 650 applications for a stand, of which over 400 are admitted to the fair. "The word Kirmes (fair) is shortened from Middle High German "kirchwihmesse".

All Saints' Day was celebrated there for days. Of course, the people of Soest are sticking to such a wonderful tradition. Soest's oldest church, St. Petri, was consecrated on All Saints' Day. However, it is only documented in writing in 1338 in the oldest surviving Soest city account written on parchment. Based on this oldest proof, the Soester celebrate their 684th All Saints' fair in 2022 after a year-long absence due to coronavirus.

By all the saints! Once a year - for five days - something downright unbelievable happens in the venerable Hanseatic city of Soest: There are vehicles that are catapulted into the sky. Wheels taller than houses. Church towers sometimes look bright red, radiant yellow, and then bright green. Spaceships land in the middle of the street. Monsters that are behind the next corner of the house. People fly very close to half-timbered homes. In short: a city is upside down.

On 50,000 square meters, 400 showmen cavort, on Thursday for the horse market even a total of 530 and transform the venerable city center into a huge, colorful fair. Putting all these rides and stalls in a row would give a front length of three kilometers. During these five great days, the number of inhabitants increased twenty-fold from 50,000 to around one million (visitors).

The H-Bahn (abbreviation for Hängebahn, German for 'hanging railway') in Dortmund and DÃŧsseldorf (there known as "Sky train") is a driverless passenger suspension railway system. The system was developed by Siemens, who call the project SIPEM (SIemens PEople Mover). Two installations exist, one at the Dortmund University campus, and the other at the DÃŧsseldorf Airport.

The cabins are centrally controlled and do not need a driver. The system can operate on a schedule or on demand, whereby a passenger requests a carriage by pushing a button, similar to summoning an elevator. The maximum speed is 50 km/h. The Dortmund cabin provides seating for 16 and a standing room for 29 passengers, while the DÃŧsseldorf airport version provides space for 15 and 32, respectively. The complete car weighs 8455 kg. It can carry a useful load of up to 4923 kg and has a maximum gross weight of 13378 kg.

A test line was opened on 21 July 1975 in DÃŧsseldorf with a length of 180 meters. In 1976, the system was extended by 1.5 km (a little less than a mile). The first publicly funded overhead railway has run since 1984 at the University of Dortmund, where it initially just connected the north and south campuses with a single line. However, many stations have 2 platforms with a track on either side permitting carriages to pass each other in opposite directions. This stretch was opened on 2 May 1984 by Dr. Heinz Riesenhuber and comprised 1.05 kilometers (0.65 mi) of track and two trains. The cost was approximately â‚Ŧ12,270,000, of which 75% was funded by the German Federal Government, 20% by the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, and 5% by the city of Dortmund. Further extensions to the H-Bahn network were being considered but were not cost-effective enough.

This construction included technology considered to be the first of its kind in Germany. Since 2011 Air Train International has been marketing the system in China and as of May 2013 there are proposals to build lines in Shanghai and Wenzhou. A number of other Chinese cities are also studying the system.

Going there on a day trip to visit our friend who lives in Bremen. Bremen is a city on the banks of the Weser River in northwestern Germany. It is known for its role in maritime trade, represented by the Hanseatic buildings on the market square. It is an ancient city in Germany which is about 1200 years old. It is also known for the Brothers Grimm fairy tale "Town Musicians of Bremen".
