INFLATION CHANGED EVERYTHING—BUT THIS Tk 10 MEMORY SURVIVED.

We thought we were buying Potato Crackers.

We were actually buying school-break happiness, visits to the neighbourhood shop, bus-window journeys and a few precious minutes with the friend who always asked for half.

Years passed. Prices increased. The school uniform disappeared from our wardrobe, and childhood quietly became a memory.

But one look at that familiar green packet still brings everything back.

That is the power of a brand that did not only enter the market—it entered people’s lives.

The packet was worth Tk 10. The memories inside it became priceless.

What is the first memory this green packet brings back for you?

She left the country. But did her political story truly end?

On 5 August 2024, Sheikh Hasina’s government fell, and she departed Bangladesh. Yet history shows that losing power is often only the beginning of a former ruler’s most uncertain chapter.

Some leaders spend the rest of their lives in silent exile. Some remain protected by complicated diplomacy. Others face extradition or trial without returning home. A rare few eventually return—but returning to the country does not necessarily mean returning to power.

For Sheikh Hasina, four possible paths remain:

Silent exile.
A prolonged extradition battle.
Legal proceedings without her physical return.
Or an extraordinary return that could begin in court—not in government.

Her future will not be determined by one person alone. Bangladesh’s courts, India–Bangladesh relations, Awami League’s political survival, public sentiment and demands for accountability after the violence of 2024 could all shape what happens next.

This documentary is not predicting a confirmed comeback. It examines the different outcomes history has produced for former rulers after their fall—and asks one unresolved question:

Will Sheikh Hasina gradually disappear into exile, or will her political shadow continue to influence Bangladesh?

History shows the possible roads.
It never tells us which one will be taken.

WAS IT TRYING TO BOARD THE METRO—OR HAD IT LOST ITS WAY IN DHAKA?

A monkey was spotted climbing the stairs towards the platform and ticketing area at Mirpur-12 Metro Station, leaving pedestrians surprised and curious.

The moment may look funny at first—but it also raises an important question: was the animal searching for food and shelter in Dhaka’s concrete landscape, or had it wandered away from its natural habitat?

Its final destination remains unknown. But for a few moments, it became the most talked-about passenger in Mirpur.

If you encounter a wild animal, do not frighten, chase or surround it. Maintain a safe distance and inform the relevant authorities.

“1971 IS OUR EXISTENCE. 2024 IS OUR PRIDE.”

On 16 December 1971, Bangladesh celebrated victory as an independent nation.

On 5 August 2024, another generation experienced a very different historic moment—the culmination of a student-led uprising that began with demands for quota reform and grew into a nationwide movement against Sheikh Hasina’s government.

The two events are not historically identical. 1971 created Bangladesh; 2024 changed its political direction.

But the viral comparison captures a shared emotion across generations: the feeling of overcoming fear, standing together and witnessing history unfold before one’s own eyes.

The celebration lasted a day. The cost will be remembered for generations.

A tribute to every life lost, every person injured and every ordinary citizen who stood for change.

AT APPROXIMATELY 2:25 PM, A HELICOPTER LEFT GANABHABAN—AND BANGLADESH WAS NEVER THE SAME AGAIN.

On this day in 2024, Sheikh Hasina reportedly departed Ganabhaban with her sister Sheikh Rehana as protesters advanced towards central Dhaka.

She resigned after more than 15 uninterrupted years in power and travelled to India—first by helicopter and later aboard a Bangladesh Air Force aircraft.

Why India?

It was the nearest destination capable of providing immediate security during an urgent departure. India later said Hasina had requested permission at “very short notice” to enter the country “for the moment.”

What appeared to be an emergency journey became a prolonged exile.

Behind her, protesters entered Ganabhaban. Across Bangladesh, celebrations erupted. At the same time, the country faced uncertainty, disorder and the enormous responsibility of building a new political future.

One helicopter left the capital. One era ended. Another began.

His manager confirmed that the cancer had returned around six weeks ago. After being hospitalised for approximately a month, his health deteriorated and he died in Mumbai on Tuesday evening.

He often played the villain—but behind those unforgettable characters stood one of Indian cinema’s most respected performers.

DHAKA’S MESSAGE TO DELHI IS CLEAR: DO NOT ALLOW INDIAN SOIL TO BE USED TO DESTABILISE BANGLADESH.

Bangladesh has raised serious concerns over reports that Sheikh Hasina may deliver a public address from New Delhi on 5 August.

Foreign Affairs Adviser Humayun Kabir told Indian High Commissioner Dinesh Trivedi that Hasina—or anyone connected to an organisation whose activities are banned—must not be allowed to use Indian territory for political statements or activities intended to create instability in Bangladesh.

Dhaka warned that such actions could damage the recent improvement in relations between the two neighbours.

India’s high commissioner reportedly promised to investigate the matter and remain vigilant.

A single political event could now become a major test for the future of Dhaka–Delhi relations.

Bangladesh has drawn a diplomatic red line over Sheikh Hasina’s political activities in India.

During a meeting with Indian High Commissioner Dinesh Trivedi, foreign affairs adviser Humayun Kabir asked New Delhi to ensure that Hasina—or anyone connected with a banned organisation—cannot use Indian territory to deliver political statements or conduct activities aimed at destabilising Bangladesh.

The request followed reports of a possible public address by Hasina from New Delhi around the anniversary of her departure on 5 August 2024.

Kabir warned that such political activity could damage the improving relationship between the two countries.

India has not publicly confirmed that it will block the reported programme.

The emerging diplomatic question is clear: will New Delhi restrict Hasina’s political activities to protect its relationship with Dhaka?

If one of the world’s most protected leaders covers his phone cameras—how secure is the phone in your hand?

Photos of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu using smartphones with stickers over their rear camera lenses have sparked intense online discussion.

The likely reason is security. A physical cover can prevent a compromised camera from secretly capturing sensitive meetings, documents or locations. Similar tamper-evident stickers are frequently used in classified and high-security facilities.

There is no confirmed evidence that Netanyahu covered the lenses because his phone had already been hacked. His office has not publicly provided a precise explanation.

But the images carry a powerful warning:

Digital security can fail. A physical barrier cannot be remotely switched off.
