Vande Bharat Hits Nearly 100 Kmph on World’s Highest Chenab Bridge

Vande Bharat trains have run at nearly 100 kmph for the first time on the world’s highest railway bridge, the Chenab Bridge. The Railway Ministry has approved increasing the maximum permissible speed to 100 kmph on the 111-km Broad Gauge section between Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra and Banihal. Earlier, the permitted speed was 85 kmph between Katra and Sangaldan and 75 kmph between Sangaldan and Banihal.

SpaceX released footage and still photographs of its Starship rocket floating off the coast of Christmas Island on Tuesday (August 18).

In a statement, SpaceX said after approximately 24 days at sea, its recovery team had guided the rocket to a location off the coast of Christmas Island.

The roughly 400-foot-tall (122 m) Starship rocket system blasted off from SpaceX's Starbase company town, with the Super Heavy first stage booster sending its Starship upper stage on a suborbital trajectory. The roughly hour-long mission will conclude with Starship's reentry through Earth's atmosphere and a splashdown in the Indian Ocean.

Student Protest in Indore Reaches FIR Stage

The student movement demanding student union elections in Indore has now escalated to an FIR.

Students carried out a cycle rally from IPS College to DAVV, raising slogans and demanding that student union elections be conducted in September.

After reaching Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV), students reportedly staged a protest. It is alleged that some protesters broke the university’s channel gate and entered the campus.
