Instead of firing the standard two interceptors at incoming ballistic missiles, Ukrainian crews often launch just one to conserve limited supplies. They also operate Patriot systems in manual mode, using cheaper methods—such as machine guns and interceptor drones—to destroy slower drones while saving expensive missiles for high-speed ballistic threats.
