Social media is becoming one of the worst platforms day by day. I find myself spending less of my time on Facebook now, At my workplace, the news channels are always on, and I see these heartbreaking stories. Later, i see people start sharing some disturbing posts on Facebook, which is just ridiculous.
**Trust me, I don’t want to see those pictures or videos**the ones showing little angels burning, running for help, their eyes desperately seeking attention. I really don’t want to see this kind of content. Please, if you truly care, put your phone down and help them. And if you can’t, at least sit quietly like I do. But stop spreading this pain for the sake of online engagement.
If you’re sad, it’s okay to write about it. But not writing anything doesn’t mean someone is indifferent or heartless. It’s not always necessary to let the whole world know what you’re feeling.
This tragedy could have involved my child, my niece or nephew. The pilot could have been someone’s brother, husband, or son. I truly believe that everyone who suffered in this incident tried their absolute best to survive but they couldn’t.
Because that’s life.
But sadly, we’ve started treating life in the most complicated way. We’re more concerned about letting people suffer than helping them out of trouble.
We need to strengthen our imaan (faith), do good for others and for ourselves rather than constantly thinking about what we have or don’t have, what we’ve done or haven’t done. What truly matters is what we want to do, and what we can do.
Please, for the sake of Allah (SWT) don’t let corrupted policies and unethical greed destroy more lives. Stop ruining others in the name of politics.
