"Learn, serve and achieve360 degrees!" In order to become something more, we must “live” the medium. Change all around us and within ourselves.

Vision: To enrich people’s lives and enable cultural exchange by depicting life itself, through films, and to become the club most recognized for innovations. Mission: BUFC was born out of a vision to make better the lives of all its stakeholders by not just screening films but by living them. It is to be done by the following factors:
• People: BUFC’s strongest driving force is its people who are known as BUFCians and who are passionate about meeting and achieving new feats regarding films. They are given total freedom to imagine and implement the craziest ideas as long as they are relevant.
• Films: We believe that showing movies is not enough. We are focused to make the students interested towards film making.
• Society: BRAC University Film Club recognizes the need of contributing to society and strives to make a difference in people’s lives wherever applicable by utilizing the power of the film-medium and its active members.
• Change: Everything we do, we do to bring about change. What we believe we need is a change of perspective and understanding towards other peoples, cultures, beliefs and overall ways of life. Change can be achieved by the power of films.
• Leadership: We have a proud history of creating leaders and improve ability of students through activity all around. As our motto is “Learn, serve and achieve 360 Degrees” we always try to enhance leading and organizing ability.

What makes a film come alive?

It starts with an idea, turns into a script, finds its direction, takes shape in the edit, and finally becomes the story we see on screen.

FC101 is a chance to explore all of that with people who actually do it.

Join BRAC University Film Club for four workshops on scriptwriting, directing, film editing, and cinematography, featuring professionals who bring different parts of filmmaking to life.

✍️ Ayman Asib Shadhin | Script Writer
Known for his work on Bonolota Express and Utshob, Shadhin brings his own perspective on storytelling and writing for the screen.

Known for acclaimed works such as Taqdeer and Karagar, Shawki has made a strong mark with his distinctive approach to storytelling and direction.

🎞️ Noushad Hossain | Film Editor
Get a closer look at the art of editing and discover how individual shots, pacing, sound, and rhythm come together to shape the final story.

📷 Sumon Sarker | Cinematographer
A three time National Film Award winner for Best Cinematography, Sarker has worked on films including No Dorai, Laal Moroger Jhuti and Surongo,bringing stories to life through powerful visuals.

The wait is finally over.
Congratulations to the selected members of BRAC University Film Club Summer '26. You've taken the leap, and now it's time to step into a universe filled with cameras, scripts, lights, creativity, collaboration, challenges, and unforgettable memories.
This is more than a selection list, it's the beginning of your own origin story. Every frame you capture, every idea you share, every production you become a part of, and every story you help tell will shape the storyteller you're meant to be.
Just like every Spider Person brings something unique to the Spider Verse, every member of BUFC brings a different perspective, a different voice, and a different story. Together, those stories become something bigger than ourselves.
