We are looking for passionate students in Grades 7-12 who are eager to learn about journalism and gain hands-on experience in the field. If you’re curious about writing, media, and reporting, this is a perfect opportunity to get started!
About The Program
At The ZiiP, we will provide you with a comprehensive learning experience to teach you the fundamentals of journalism, including writing techniques, research methods, and article formatting. Over a 6-month voluntary internship period, you will get the chance to contribute to our publications and develop your skills.
By the end of your internship, you will receive recognition for your hard work, and most importantly, you will gain valuable experience for your future career.
Internship Positions Available
We are hiring for the following positions:
1. Graphics Designer
You’ll work with design tools like Canva to create visuals for articles, infographics, and other media content.
2. Content Writers
As a content writer, you will contribute to various sections of our journal, such as Economics Report, Financial Report, Opportunities, Achievements, Lifestyles (including engaging, fun, or light-hearted articles), Women Empowerment, Interesting and Unique Topics, and Sports.
3. Social Media Managers
Help us expand our online presence by managing and creating engaging content for our social media platforms, including: (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn)
You’ll be responsible for developing strategies to engage our audience and increase followers while promoting our latest articles and updates.
What You’ll Learn:
1. Journalism 101—Learn the basics of writing articles, conducting interviews, and researching topics.
2. Creative Content Creation—Whether you’re writing a lifestyle article or a hard-hitting financial report, you’ll gain hands-on experience.
3. Social Media Strategy—Gain experience in managing and growing social media accounts, building an audience, and creating engaging content.
4. Team Collaboration—Work with experienced writers, editors, and designers to produce high-quality content.
