The Odyssey – Crossroads of Dreams and Memories. A solo art exhibition by renowned New York-based Bangladeshi artist Md. Tokon, hosted at Edge Gallery, Bay’s Edgewater. The exhibition offered a journey through memories and dreams, expressed on large canvases with bold brushstrokes and raw emotions, creating an immersive visual experience for visitors.

Congratulations to Ar. Marina Tabassum on winning the Aga Khan Award for Architecture 2025 for the Khudi Bari (“Little House”) project. This is her second time receiving this prestigious recognition.

Khudi Bari is a low-cost, modular, and climate-resilient shelter system created for families in flood-prone and river-eroded regions of Bangladesh. Built with bamboo, steel connectors, and locally sourced materials, each unit can be assembled in three days and dismantled in three hours. It provides an affordable, portable, and dignified home for displaced communities.

This achievement celebrates Marina Tabassum’s visionary approach to architecture and shows how design can address humanitarian and climate challenges.
