The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has suspended the ongoing IPL 2025 season indefinitely due to rising border tensions between India and Pakistan. The decision came after the Punjab Kings vs Delhi Capitals match in Dharamsala was abruptly abandoned, as airport closures in the region forced teams to travel to Delhi by a special train. So far, 58 matches have been completed, with 12 group-stage games still pending across multiple cities and the playoffs originally scheduled for Hyderabad and Kolkata. The suspension leaves the tournament’s future uncertain, with a formal announcement from BCCI expected soon.
