⚠️ The biggest career lie you've ever been told ⚠️

"Just work hard and you'll get promoted."

If that were true, the hardest workers would always become leaders.

They don't.

The corporate pyramid works differently.

Hard work gets you in.

Everything above it gets you up.

🔺 Which layer do you think most people ignore?

You can spend 10 years working...
..and still be in the same place.

- Because a job rewards effort.

- A career rewards growth.

That's why some people with 3 years of experience become managers.

And some people with 10 years of experience are still doing the same work.

Busy doesn't always mean you're progressing.

That's the trap.

The most liked employee in your office is probably not getting the next promotion.

Read that again.

They help everyone.
They never create conflict.
They're friendly with every department.
Everyone enjoys working with them.

But when promotion season comes...

Someone else gets it.

Why?

Because organizations don't usually promote people for being likable.

They promote people who:

• Solve expensive problems
• Take ownership without being asked
• Influence decisions
• Handle pressure
• Create measurable business impact

Being liked is valuable.

But being valuable and being liked are not the same thing.

Many professionals spend years building relationships while neglecting visibility, influence, and impact.

And then they're shocked when someone "less popular" gets promoted.

Question:

Would you rather be the most liked person in the office or the most promotable person in the office?

"We're Like A Family Here."

The most expensive sentence in corporate Bangladesh might be:

"We're like a family here."

Because when a company says family, employees often hear:

❌ Work extra without questioning
❌ Stay loyal even when underpaid
❌ Don't discuss salary
❌ Don't complain about workload
❌ Accept poor management because "we care about each other"

The reality?

A company is not a family.

It's a professional relationship.

Good companies don't need to call themselves family.

They offer:
✔ Fair pay
✔ Respectful leadership
✔ Clear expectations
✔ Growth opportunities
✔ Accountability for everyone

And when things get tough, families don't usually issue termination letters.

What do you think?

Is "We're like a family here" a genuine sign of culture...

Or a red flag?

🚨 Bangladesh doesn't have a talent shortage.🚨

It has a TRUST shortage.

Every day, recruiters complain they can't find qualified candidates.

Every day, candidates complain they can't find good employers.

Companies say:
❌ "Nobody wants to work."

Candidates say:
❌ "Nobody wants to pay."

Recruiters complain about candidate ghosting.

Candidates complain about employer ghosting.

Managers say employees lack commitment.

Employees say companies lack transparency.

So who's right?

Maybe both sides are looking at the symptoms instead of the real problem.

The Bangladesh job market is full of opportunities, talented people, hiring companies, recruiters, and HR professionals.

Yet hiring feels broken.

👇 Let's have an honest discussion.

What's the #1 reason recruitment and hiring are so frustrating in Bangladesh today?

No corporate answers.

Say what people are actually thinking.

"We're hiring urgently."

If that's true, why does it take weeks to hear back?

Many candidates spend hours:

✔ Updating their CV
✔ Completing assessments
✔ Preparing for interviews
✔ Taking time off work to attend interviews

Then comes the hardest part...

Silence.

The reality is that many companies aren't struggling to find talent.

They're struggling to make hiring decisions.

Candidates don't expect every application to lead to an offer.

But they do expect communication.

A simple update.
A rejection email.
A timeline.

Anything.

Because "ghosting" candidates doesn't just hurt candidate experience.

It hurts employer brand too.

Let's talk about it:

What's the longest you've waited after an interview before receiving an update?

As Eid comes closer and we are going to our families, Just wanted to remind you all of you how much important you actually are to the "REAL FAMILY" 😂😂😂

Who taught corporate people to say one thing and mean something completely different?
