The Daily Observer hit the stands in Bangladesh on 1st February in 2011 after now defunct Bangladesh Observer stopped publication in 2010. It had a great role in shaping public opinion of Pakistan, in particular, East Pakistan. After East Pakistan became independent as Bangladesh, the newspaper was renamed Bangladesh Observer and was published under Bangladesh Observer Group. It continued to venti

Iqbal Sobhan Chowdhury, the last editor of the Bangladesh Observer, initiated publishing of the newspaper again in the name of the Daily Observer under the auspices of Observer Ltd. The directors of the company are Mostafizur Rahman, Yussuf Abdullah Harun, Maksudur Rahman, Dr. Jamshed Sanyiath Ahmed Choudhury FCA, Md. Akram Hossain Humayun, Faridur Reza Sagar, Shykh Seraj, Salahuddin Ahmed, Salina Ali, Md. Yasin Ali, Mir Mosharref Hossain, A K M Shaheed Reza, Md. Kamal Uddin and Mabroor Hossain.
