♦ Some common errors in Prepositions:
1️⃣ আমরা তাঁর কাছে ইংরেজি পড়ি।
▫️We read English with him. (Not near him)
2️⃣ আমাকে লেখার জন্য একটি কলম দাও।
▫️ Give me a pen to write with. (Not just to write)
3️⃣ তোমার কাছে বইটি রেখে দাও।
▫️ Keep the book with you. (Not near you)
4️⃣ বইটির পনেরো পাতা খোল।
▫️ Open the book at page 15. (Not just page 15)
5️⃣ রামের সঙ্গে সীতার বিবাহ হলো।
▫️ Ram was married to Sita. (Not with Sita)
6️⃣ তাঁকে বসতে একটা চেয়ার দাও।
▫️ Give him a chair to sit on. (Not just to sit)
7️⃣ তিনি আমার উপর রাগ করেছেন।
▫️ He is angry with me. (Not upon me)
8️⃣ তুমি কোথা থেকে আসছ?
▫️ Where do you come from? (Not from where)
9️⃣ তিনি অসুস্থতার জন্য স্কুলে আসতে পারেননি।
▫️ He could not come to school on account of illness. (Preferable to due to)
🔟 আমি বাড়ি গিয়েছিলাম।
▫️ I went home. (Not to home = 'home' here acts like an adverb, similar to here or there)
