বাংলাদেশ ও মরক্কোর মধ্যে প্রথম দ্বিপাক্ষিক business-to-business বা B2B platform চালু হয়েছে। রাবাতে উদ্বোধন হওয়া এই প্ল্যাটফর্মের লক্ষ্য হলো দুই দেশের মধ্যে বাণিজ্য, বিনিয়োগ এবং green industrial cooperation বাড়ানো।

টেলিকম খাতে করের চাপ ডিজিটাল অন্তর্ভুক্তিতে বড় বাধা

নতুন এক প্রতিবেদনে বলা হয়েছে, বাংলাদেশের মোবাইল টেলিকম খাতে অতিরিক্ত কর কাঠামো ইন্টারনেট সংযোগ, ডিজিটাল অন্তর্ভুক্তি এবং অর্থনৈতিক প্রবৃদ্ধির পথে বড় বাধা তৈরি করছে।

প্রতিবেদনে উল্লেখ করা হয়েছে, বাংলাদেশের সাধারণ tax-to-GDP ratio মাত্র ৭.৬%, যেখানে এশিয়া-প্যাসিফিক অঞ্চলের গড় প্রায় ২০%। বিশেষজ্ঞদের মতে, ডিজিটাল প্রবেশাধিকার বাড়াতে টেলিকম নীতিতে ভারসাম্যপূর্ণ সংস্কার প্রয়োজন।

ঢাকা ও আরও ৩ বিভাগে ভারী বৃষ্টির পূর্বাভাস

আবহাওয়া অধিদপ্তরের পূর্বাভাস অনুযায়ী, আগামী ২৪ ঘণ্টায় রংপুর, ময়মনসিংহ, ঢাকা ও সিলেট বিভাগের কিছু এলাকায় ভারী বৃষ্টির সম্ভাবনা রয়েছে।

গত ২৪ ঘণ্টায় সকাল ৬টা পর্যন্ত রংপুরে সর্বোচ্চ ১৩০ মিলিমিটার বৃষ্টিপাত রেকর্ড করা হয়েছে। একই সঙ্গে খুলনা, যশোর, সাতক্ষীরা ও বাগেরহাটে মৃদু তাপপ্রবাহ অব্যাহত থাকতে পারে।

Heavy rainfall is expected in parts of Rangpur, Mymensingh, Dhaka, and Sylhet. Rangpur recorded 130mm rainfall in the last 24 hours until 6am.

সুন্দরবনে জলদস্যুদের হাত থেকে ২১ জেলে উদ্ধার

সুন্দরবনে জলদস্যুদের হাতে জিম্মি থাকা ২১ জেলেকে উদ্ধার করেছে কোস্ট গার্ড। প্রতিবেদনে বলা হয়েছে, মুক্তিপণের দাবিতে জেলেদের আটকে রাখা হয়েছিল।

কোস্ট গার্ডের অভিযানে জেলেরা উদ্ধার হওয়ার পাশাপাশি অস্ত্র ও গুলি উদ্ধার করা হয়েছে। উদ্ধার হওয়া জেলেদের পরিবারের কাছে হস্তান্তরের প্রক্রিয়া চলছে।

The Coast Guard rescued 21 fishermen allegedly held hostage by pirate gangs in the Sundarbans. Fi****ms and ammunition were also recovered during the operation.

বাংলাদেশে পবিত্র ঈদুল আজহা উদযাপিত হবে আগামী ২৮ মে। জিলহজ মাসের চাঁদ দেখা যাওয়ার পর জাতীয় চাঁদ দেখা কমিটির বৈঠক শেষে এই তারিখ নিশ্চিত করা হয়।
