NEPAL FLOOD CRISIS | RISING WATERS. SHATTERED LIVES.

A catastrophic flash flood has struck northern Nepal, devastating communities along the Rasuwa–Nuwakot region and the Trishuli river corridor.

Triggered by a massive glacial and debris surge, torrents of water, ice, mud and rock swept through settlements, destroying homes, roads, bridges and critical infrastructure.

Hundreds of lives have been lost or remain unaccounted for, while rescue teams continue searching through heavily damaged and difficult-to-reach areas.

Beyond the numbers is a deeper human tragedy—families separated, communities displaced, and lives changed in a matter of minutes.

This is more than a flood. It is a devastating reminder of the growing risks faced by vulnerable Himalayan communities.
