Father arrested for ra**ng girl in Lama; Demand for impartial investigation to uncover truth

Police have arrested a man in Lama upazila of Bandarban on charges of ra**ng his 12-year-old daughter. The accused was arrested from Chandgaon police station area of ​​Chittagong and sent to jail through a court on June 18. He is a resident of Phaitong Union of the upazila.

According to the victim's family and local sources, the incident allegedly took place on the night of June 16 when the child's mother was not at home. Later, when the mother returned home, the girl told her about the matter in tears. Later, the child's mother filed a case with Lama police station as a complainant.

After the case, members of Phaitong police outpost conducted a raid and arrested the accused and handed him over to the court.
