গত সোমবার ট্রাম্পকে প্রশ্ন করা হয়েছিল, ইরানকে যদি এই প্রণালি দিয়ে যাতায়াতকারী জাহাজ থেকে ফি নেওয়ার অনুমতি দেওয়া হয়, তবে তিনি সেই চুক্তি মেনে নেবেন কি না। জবাবে মার্কিন প্রেসিডেন্ট বলেন, 'আমরা টোল আদায় করলে কেমন হয়? ইরানকে এই সুযোগ দেওয়ার চেয়ে আমি নিজেই তা করতে পছন্দ করব। আমরা কেন নেব না? আমরা তো বিজয়ী। আমরা জিতেছি।'
