President Biden expressed US government's full support for Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus and his government as they met on the margin of the UNGA.
Professor Yunus apprised him how the students rose against the tyranny of the previous government and gave their lives to create this opportunity to rebuild Bangladesh. As he stressed that his government must succeed in rebuilding the country and would need US cooperation, President Biden assured of his administration's full support.
বাংলাদেশ সরকারকে ‘পূর্ণ সমর্থন’ জানিয়েছেন যুক্তরাষ্ট্রের প্রেসিডেন্ট জো বাইডেন। আজ মঙ্গলবার জাতিসংঘের সাধারণ অধিবেশনের ফাঁকে মার্কিন প্রেসিডেন্টের সঙ্গে বৈঠক করেছেন বাংলাদেশ সরকারের প্রধান উপদেষ্টা অধ্যাপক ড. মুহাম্মদ ইউনূস। বৈঠকে ড. ইউনূস বিগত সরকারের আমলে সকল ধরনের নিপীড়নের বিরুদ্ধে শিক্ষার্থীদের সাহসী ভূমিকা ও বাংলাদেশ পুনর্গঠনে তাদের গুরুত্বপূর্ণ অবদানের কথা জো বাইডেনকে জানান। অধ্যাপক ড. ইউনূস জোর দিয়ে বলেন, দেশ পুনর্গঠনে তার সরকারকে অবশ্যই সফল হতে হবে। এসময় মার্কিন প্রেসিডেন্ট বাইডেন যেকোনো সাহায্যে বাংলাদেশ সরকারের পাশে থাকার আশ্বাস দেন।
