Ingredients (serves 4–5):
• 4 cups (1 liter) whole milk
• 5 tbsp cornstarch (or slightly less if you want it softer)
• ½ cup sugar (adjust to taste)
• 1–2 tsp rose water or orange blossom water
• Crushed pistachios for garnish (optional)
• Ground cinnamon (optional)
Instructions:
1. Mix the starch In a small bowl, dissolve cornstarch in 1 cup of the cold milk. Stir until smooth and lump-free.
2.Heat the milk In a medium saucepan, add the remaining 3 cups milk and sugar. Place over medium heat and stir until the sugar dissolves.
3. Thicken Slowly pour the cornstarch mixture into the hot milk, stirring constantly with a whisk or wooden spoon to prevent lumps.
4. Cook until creamy Keep stirring over medium heat until the mixture thickens to a pudding consistency (about 5–7 minutes).
5. Flavor Once thick, remove from heat and stir in the rose water or orange blossom water. Taste and adjust sweetness or fragrance if desired.
6. ChillPour into serving bowls or glasses. Let cool slightly, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours until set.
7. Serve Garnish with crushed pistachios, a sprinkle of cinnamon, or both. Serve cold 🤍
