আমাদের অনেক আগেই বিচ্ছেদ হওয়ার কথা ছিল : কাজল

দাম্পত্যজীবনের ২৫ বছর পার করলেন বলিউড দম্পতি কাজল ও অজয় দেবগন। দুই ছেলেমেয়ে নিয়ে তাদের সুখের সংসার এখনো টিকে আছে।

তবে সম্প্রতি এক সাক্ষাৎকারে কাজল জানালেন, ‘দেখতে গেলে আমাদের অনেক আগেই বিচ্ছেদ হয়ে যাওয়ার কথা ছিল।’

১৯৯৯ সালের ২৪ ফেব্রুয়ারি অজয়ের সঙ্গে গাঁটছড়া বাঁধেন কাজল। তখন ক্যারিয়ারের মধ্যগগনে ছিলেন অভিনেত্রী।

হঠাৎ বিয়ের সিদ্ধান্তে কাজলের বাবা শমু মুখোপাধ্যায় চার দিন মেয়ের সঙ্গে কথা বলেননি। শেষমেশ পরিবারের উপস্থিতিতে ঘরোয়া আয়োজনে বিয়ে সারেন এই জুটি।

দাম্পত্যজীবনে কখনো গদগদ প্রেমের প্রকাশ দেখা যায়নি এই দম্পতির মধ্যে। অজয় সাধারণত ব্যক্তিগত জীবন নিয়ে মুখ খোলেন না। তবে কাজল বরাবরই খোলামেলা।

সম্প্রতি এক সাক্ষাৎকারে কাজল বলেন, ‘আমরা একে অপরের থেকে অনেকটা আলাদা। সে অর্থে দেখতে গেলে, আমাদের অনেক আগেই বিচ্ছেদ হয়ে যাওয়ার কথা ছিল।’

তাহলে সংসার কিভাবে টিকলো? সেই প্রশ্নের উত্তরে অভিনেত্রী বলেন, ‘দাম্পত্য জীবনে সুখী থাকতে চাইলে আপনার স্মৃতিশক্তি দুর্বল হতে হবে। ভুলে যাওয়ার রোগ থাকতে হবে আর কখনও কখনও কানে কম শুনতে হবে।’

অভিনেত্রী মনে করেন, সুখী দাম্পত্যের জন্য কিছু জিনিস ভুলে যাওয়া এবং ছেড়ে দেওয়াই আসল রহস্য। কোনও কিছু আঁকড়ে ধরে রাখায় বিশ্বাসী নন তিনি। সেই কারণেই ২৫ বছরের দাম্পত্যে টিকে গিয়েছেন অজয়-কাজল।
