📏The earthquake, measuring 4.3 magnitude on the Richter Scale, was felt at 9:56 am which lasted for a few seconds, said observer Syed Ahmed of Sylhet Meteorological Department.

📌The epicentre of the earthquake was Meghalaya in India.
However, no injury or casualty was reported.

🏏Bangladesh Under-19 women’s team batter Shorna Akter has made it into ICC’s team of the tournament for the recently concluded ICC Women’s Under-19 Twenty20 World Cup in South Africa.

📈Shorna impressed one and all with her big-hitting ability in the tournament. Shorna scored in excess of 20 in all games and hit six sixes in the tournament, second only to India’s Shafali Verma.

👉🏻Her batting prowess has also earned her a spot in the national team squad for the forthcoming ICC Women’s T20 World Cup.

🇧🇩Bangladesh is now the 35th largest economy in the world, according to a report titled 'The Top Heavy Global Economy', published by 'Visual Capitalist'.

👉🏻As per the report, Bangladesh is the 35th largest economies in 2022 with a GDP size of US$460.8 billion. Earlier, the rank of Bangladesh was 41st.

🥇The first, second, third and fourth places in the list are the USA, China, Japan and Germany respectively. The remaining five countries in the world's 10 largest economies are the UK, France, Canada, Russia and Italy respectively.

👉🏻Mariam Afiza is going to emerge as the first metro train operator of the Mass Rapid Transit line-6 as she completed all necessary preparations to run the country's ever-first metro rail scheduled to be inaugurated tomorrow, reports BSS.

🎓Afiza was appointed as a metro train operator after completing her master's degree from Noakhali Science and Technology University in Chemistry.She received a year-long training to prepare her as a skilled operator.Afiza also received another two-month-long training at Bangladesh Railway Training Academy in Chattogram's Halishahar.

Ⓜ️After returning to Dhaka, she also completed another four-month-long training, Siddique said.

Currently, Afiza is taking technical and practical training at the metro rail depot in Uttara's Diabari while experts of metro rail construction company Mitsubishi-Kawasaki of Japan are imparting training to the operators on technical and practical issues.

🚃 The metro rail is initially going to run from 8 am to 12 noon every day from Uttara station to Agargaon station without any stoppage.

Outsiders urged not to come to du to watch the game ⚽️

The FIFA World Cup 2022 is underway. On this occasion, Nagad has organized a big screen game for the students of Dhaka University. But along with the university, people come from nearby areas. This spoils the environment of the campus. Outsiders have been requested not to come to the campus to watch the game if the matter comes to the notice of the university authorities.

Du authorities made the call in a press release issued by the university's public relations department on Thursday( December 8).

According to the press release, the world cup football 2022 match will be organized for the teachers, students, officials and employees of the university and the family members of the university to watch the World Cup football 2022 match on the big screen at different places on the Dhaka University campus. But when there is a gathering of outsiders there, the teachers and students suffer from various embarrassments and sufferings, the environment is disturbed. In such a situation, in order to maintain discipline and environment, the spectators outside the campus have been urged to enjoy the game in their respective homes / areas without coming to the university campus.
