Two Diseases Among Us: Mocking the Failures and Envying the Successful.
Mocking those who fail and envying those who succeed are two social issues deeply rooted in our culture. These behaviors not only harm individuals but also hinder the overall development of society. Islam, through the guidance of the Qur'an and teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), provides clear directions on how to address these negative tendencies.

1. Mocking the Failures
Allah warns us in the Qur'an:
"O you who have believed, let not a people ridicule [another] people; perhaps they may be better than them."
(Surah Al-Hujurat: 11)

This verse emphasizes that mocking someone for their failure is prohibited in Islam. Every individual has unique qualities and potential, and failure is often just a stepping stone to success.

Islamic scholars also highlight the importance of compassion toward those who struggle. Imam Al-Ghazali (RA) said:
"When you mock someone for their flaws or failures, you damage your own soul more than theirs."

Instead of mocking, we should offer support and encouragement. A kind gesture or word can uplift someone and help them achieve their goals.

2. Envying the Successful
The Qur'an also addresses the issue of envy:
"Or do they envy people for what Allah has given them of His bounty?"
(Surah An-Nisa: 54)

Envy stems from a lack of gratitude and contentment. It ignores the fact that success is a blessing from Allah, earned through hard work and His will.

Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:
"Do not envy one another, and do not hate one another."
(Sahih Muslim: 2563)

Rather than feeling envious, we should seek inspiration from successful individuals and strive to emulate their dedication and efforts. Pray for their continued success and ask Allah for similar blessings in your own life.

Our Duty:

In Light of Islam:
1. Show Compassion to the Failures:
Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:
"Allah helps His servant as long as the servant helps his brother."
(Sahih Bukhari: 2442)

Supporting those who are struggling is a sign of a true believer. It boosts their morale and strengthens their faith in Allah’s mercy.

2. Celebrate and Learn from the Successful:
Allah commands us:
"And cooperate in righteousness and piety, but do not cooperate in sin and aggression."
(Surah Al-Ma'idah: 2)

Instead of harboring envy, celebrate the success of others and learn from their journey. This positive attitude fosters personal growth and strengthens the bonds within the community.

Conclusion:
Mocking the failures and envying the successful are destructive behaviors that harm individuals and society. Islam teaches us to uplift one another, show compassion, and view success as a blessing from Allah.

As Allah reminds us in the Qur'an:
"Indeed, Allah will not change the condition of a people until they change what is in themselves."
(Surah Ar-Ra'd: 11)

Let us strive to create a society based on mutual respect, love, and positivity. By following the teachings of Islam, we can overcome these two "diseases" and contribute to a brighter future for all.

"Support the weak, celebrate the strong, and build a society rooted in empathy and faith."

08/01/2025

In life, we all face challenges and difficulties. At times, we feel the urge to share our problems with others to lighten our burdens. However, sharing personal issues with everyone can be risky. While some people might empathize, many are more interested in gossiping about your situation rather than offering genuine help. This can complicate your problems instead of resolving them. Hence, it is crucial to approach this matter thoughtfully.

Why Avoid Sharing Your Problems Widely?

1. Lack of Genuine Concern:
Most people may show sympathy initially, but it often fades quickly. Many do not give your problems the importance they deserve.

2. Risk of Gossip:
Sharing personal issues with someone can lead to those issues being discussed with others. This can harm your social image and peace of mind.

3. Misguided Advice:
People who do not fully understand your situation might offer solutions that are unhelpful or even harmful.

4. Loss of Dignity:
Sharing personal problems openly can sometimes impact your self-respect and how others perceive you.

What Should You Do Instead?

1. Pray to Allah:
The ultimate solution to all problems lies with Allah. Turn to Him in prayer and place your trust in His wisdom. Allah says:

"Call upon Me; I will respond to you." (Surah Ghafir: 60)

2. Choose a Trusted Person:
If sharing becomes necessary, confide in someone trustworthy who genuinely cares for you and respects your privacy.

3. Strengthen Yourself:
Reflect on your problems and take proactive steps toward their resolution. Practice patience and resilience in difficult times.

4. Seek Professional Help:
In cases where the problem is complex, consulting a professional counselor or advisor is the best course of action. They can provide neutral and practical solutions.

It is unrealistic to expect constant empathy from people. Everyone is dealing with their struggles. Therefore, turning to Allah and relying on Him is the best approach. If needed, seek support from reliable individuals, but always maintain your dignity and privacy.

Take your worries to Allah, for He is the ultimate helper.

Are we ready to admit our mistakes? It’s not easy, but it’s necessary. Identifying our mistakes means acknowledging our weaknesses and taking the first step toward improvement.

When we realize our mistakes, it takes courage to accept them. Many of us may be busy pointing out others' flaws, but real progress becomes possible only when we start addressing the issues within ourselves.

Admitting mistakes is not a sign of weakness; rather, it is a mark of confidence. It humbles our hearts and makes our relationships more meaningful. So, let us strive to know ourselves, work on our hearts, and create an environment where forgiveness, self-acknowledgment, and mutual respect are valued.

Social Values, Empathy, and Fraternity

The foundation of a well-functioning society lies in human values, empathy, and fraternity. Without mutual respect, love, and a willingness to help one another, no society can truly prosper.

Social values guide us toward the right and ethical path. They teach us how to respect each other and work for the welfare of society. Empathy inspires us to understand others' pain and extend a helping hand.

Fraternity binds people together in unity. It encourages us to rise above differences of religion, caste, race, or financial status and stand by each other in joy and sorrow.

In today’s world, if we prioritize social values, empathy, and fraternity, we can build a peaceful, happy, and united society. Let us make these values a part of our lives and instill them in future generations.

"Let humanity triumph, and let all divisions dissolve."

The Biggest Obstacle Between You and Your Dreams: Excuses
There are moments in life when we dream big and aspire to achieve great things. However, the primary obstacle that stands between us and our dreams is one simple thing—excuses.

Excuses act as an invisible wall separating our dreams from reality. They create a false belief in our minds that we are not ready to take action. Sometimes it’s about lacking time, other times it’s skills, or perhaps the circumstances aren’t favorable—such excuses keep us stuck.

But think about it—every successful person in life started their journey from challenging situations. They didn’t make excuses. Instead, they started working, made mistakes, learned from them, and moved forward.

If you truly want to achieve your dreams, make a decision today:

1. Stop making excuses: Tell yourself, "I can do it."

2. Start taking action: Take small steps because even tiny efforts lead to big changes.

3. Stay committed and consistent: Only through relentless effort can you reach the peak of success.

The moment you stop making excuses, your dream will no longer remain a dream. It will begin to transform into reality. Your determination will lead you toward success.

So, will you start today?

Take the first step toward your goal, and turn your dream into reality!

Truthfulness: The Foundation of Trust and Honor in Life:
Truthfulness is one of the fundamental qualities of human character. It is not just a moral virtue but also the foundation of trust, confidence, and love between individuals. Discussing the harmful effects of lying and the greatness of truth requires consideration of guidance from the Qur'an and Hadith, as well as social and ethical perspectives.

The Harmful Effects of Lying

Lying is the first step toward sin. It not only harms personal life but also weakens the foundation of society. The revelation of a lie can be deeply painful because it destroys trust in others.

1. Loss of Trust: Once someone lies, their trustworthiness is broken.

2. Damaged Relationships: Lies can ruin relationships in families, friendships, or professional settings.

3. Displeasure of Allah: Allah dislikes liars, as stated:

“Indeed, Allah does not like the liars.” (Surah Aal-e-Imran, Ayah: 61)

The Importance of Truthfulness

1. Attaining Allah’s Pleasure: Speaking the truth is a means of gaining Allah’s satisfaction.

2. Increased Honor: Truthful individuals earn society's respect and trust.

3. Freedom from Sin: Truthfulness keeps people away from sin. The beloved Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) said:

“Always speak the truth, for truth leads to righteousness, and righteousness leads to Paradise.” (Sahih Bukhari)

How to Practice Truthfulness

1. Self-Reflection: Regularly evaluate your words and actions.

2. Avoid Lies: No matter how difficult the situation, remain honest.

3. Seek Allah’s Help: Pray to Allah for guidance and strength to stay truthful.

Conclusion:
Truthfulness is not just a moral attribute; it is a practice and a way of life. It is essential for establishing peace, trust, and justice in society. May Allah grant us the ability to always be truthful and protect us from the grave sin of lying. Ameen.

Our Stance Against Anti-Bangladesh Propaganda in Indian Media:
We have observed that certain Indian television channels are regularly spreading false and baseless information about Bangladesh. Such misinformation campaigns aim to tarnish the image of our country, culture, and people.

This type of propaganda is not only harmful to the relationship between the two countries but also negatively impacts regional peace and coexistence. Bangladesh is a sovereign nation, and we have the right to protect our independence and dignity. We strongly condemn such fabricated and provocative campaigns.

We urge Indian media to follow journalistic ethics and focus on impartial and truthful reporting. Furthermore, we call on them to refrain from spreading misleading information that disrupts mutual respect and goodwill between the peoples of the two nations.

Our Responsibilities:

1. As citizens of Bangladesh, we must raise awareness and share the truth on social media.

2. Bangladeshi media and diplomatic authorities should take swift action on this matter.

3. The peace-loving people of both nations must be made aware of the dangers of such incitement.

We call upon the Indian media to put an end to false propaganda and show respect to our neighboring relationship by promoting truthful news.

Bangladeshis stand united and proudly defend their dignity.

Nepal-India Relations: Not About Religion, But Politics and Resistance

Nepal, a Hindu-majority country with over 80% of its population identifying as Hindu, shares deep cultural and religious ties with India. However, despite these connections, many Nepalese hold a negative perception of India. This paradox can be explained not by religious differences but by political and economic factors.

It’s About Politics, Not Religion

1. India’s Dominance in Nepal

Nepal, being a landlocked country, depends heavily on India for trade and supplies. This dependency has allowed India to exert significant political and economic influence over Nepal.

In 2015, during Nepal's constitution drafting process, India was accused of imposing an “undeclared blockade.” This caused severe shortages of fuel and essential goods, creating widespread public resentment toward India.

2. Border Disputes

India and Nepal have long-standing territorial disputes, particularly over areas like Kalapani, Lipulekh, and Limpiyadhura. In 2019, India published a map claiming some of these territories, which Nepal considered a violation of its sovereignty.

3. Perceived Disrespect for Nepal’s Sovereignty

Many Nepalese believe that India often undermines Nepal’s cultural identity and political autonomy for its own strategic interests. For instance, India's involvement in the Madhesi political movement is seen as interference in Nepal’s internal affairs.

Why Religion Doesn’t Matter Here

Despite shared Hindu traditions, Nepal's issues with India are rooted in political dominance, border disputes, and economic exploitation. Nepal views India's actions as a threat to its sovereignty rather than a reflection of religious unity.

Examples of Political Resistance

Nepal’s 2015 constitutional crisis and the subsequent blockade intensified public mistrust of India.

Nepal’s increasing diplomatic engagement with China is an effort to reduce dependency on India and assert its independence.

Modern Nepal’s Stance

Today, Nepal strives to maintain its sovereignty and diversify its international partnerships. By strengthening ties with China and other global powers, Nepal seeks to break free from India's shadow.

Conclusion

The strained Nepal-India relationship is a reminder that cultural and religious ties cannot override political realities. Nepal’s resistance to Indian dominance reflects its commitment to sovereignty and national pride.

“True neighborly relations thrive on mutual respect and equality, not dominance.”
