কারণ আমি নিশ্চিতভাবে জানি য়ে কোন কিছুই প্রভু যীশু খ্রীষ্টের নিহিত ঐশ্বরিক ভালবাসা থেকে আমাদের বিচ্ছিন্ন করতে পারবে না, মৃত্যু বা জীবন, কোন স্বর্গদূত বা প্রভুত্বকারী আত্মা, বর্তমান বা ভবিষ্যতের কোন কিছু, উর্দ্ধের বা নিম্নের কোন প্রভাব কিংবা সৃষ্ট কোন কিছুই আমাদের সেই ভালবাসা থেকে বিচ্ছিন্ন করতে পারবে না৷
For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

কিন্তু তোমরা তো “বাছাই করা বংশ হয়েছ; তোমাদের দিয়ে গড়া হয়েছে পুরোহিতদের রাজ্য; তোমরা ঈশ্বরের উদ্দেশ্যে আলাদা করা জাতি ও তাঁর নিজের লোক হয়েছ;” যেন অন্ধকার থেকে যিনি তোমাদের তাঁর আশ্চর্য আলোর মধ্যে ডেকে এনেছেন তোমরা তাঁরই গুণগান কর। ১০ এক সময় তোমরা ঈশ্বরের লোক ছিলে না, কিন্তু এখন হয়েছ; এক সময় তোমরা করুণা পাও নি, কিন্তু এখন পেয়েছ। ১পিতর ২ঃ৯-১০
