নাম ডাকতে ডাকতে হাঁফিয়ে উঠেছিলেন ডেপুটি জেলার সাহেব। একসময়ে বিরক্তির সাথে বললেন, উহ, এত ছেলেকে জায়গা দিবো কোথায়। জেলখানা তো এমনিতে ভর্তি হয়ে আছে।

ওর কথা শুনে কবি রসুল চিৎকার করে উঠলো, জেলখানা আরো বাড়ান সাহেব। এত ছোট জেলখানায় হবে না।

আর একজন বললো, এতেই ঘাবড়ে গেলেন নাকি? আসছে ফাল্গুনে আমরা কিন্তু দ্বিগুণ হবো।
