বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় দিবস উপলক্ষে আয়োজিত বর্ণাঢ্য সাংস্কৃতিক অনুষ্ঠানের মধ্য দিয়ে কুয়েট যেন ফিরে পেলো তার হারানো প্রাণচাঞ্চল্য। নানা আয়োজনের সুর, নৃত্য আর আবৃত্তির ছন্দে মুখরিত হয়ে উঠলো সমগ্র প্রাঙ্গণ। দীর্ঘদিনের একঘেয়েমি ও ক্লান্তি ঝেড়ে শিক্ষার্থীরা যেনো খুঁজে পেলো নতুন আনন্দ ও উচ্ছ্বাস। তাদের প্রাণবন্ত অংশগ্রহণে পুরো পরিবেশ ভরে উঠলো উৎসবের আবহে, আর কুয়েট প্রাঙ্গণ যেন আবারো নবজীবন ফিরে পেলো।

We are proud to share the inspiring journey of 𝐓𝐚𝐣𝐤𝐢𝐚 𝐉𝐚𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐑𝐚𝐤𝐡𝐢 (𝘿𝙚𝙥𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙤𝙛 𝙐𝙧𝙗𝙖𝙣 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙍𝙚𝙜𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙋𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜, Batch 2K18, KUET) who has secured a Fully Funded Graduate 𝙏𝙚𝙖𝙘𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝘼𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙩𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙥 along with the prestigious “𝑭𝒖𝒏𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑭𝒖𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒆: 𝑺𝒖𝒑𝒑𝒐𝒓𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒇𝒆𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒍 𝑫𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒍𝒐𝒑𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒊𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑴𝑨 𝑮𝒆𝒐𝒈𝒓𝒂𝒑𝒉𝒚 𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒈𝒓𝒂𝒎” scholarship for her Master’s in Geography at the University of Toledo, USA. 🌍✨

Here’s her story in her own words:

"I am Tajkia Jahan Rakhi, a graduate of the Department of Urban and Regional Planning (URP), KUET (Batch 2018). Unlike many of my peers, I was never a top student, always average, with a CGPA that did not stand out. But what set me apart was my love for practical knowledge and lab work. This passion pushed me to participate in national competitions, where I proudly represented KUET.

Throughout my journey, I constantly had to prove myself, and my family’s unwavering support gave me the courage to keep moving forward. After graduating in 2024, I faced many personal and mental struggles. It was not an easy path, but I held onto perseverance, faith, and prayers. Eventually, my tahajjud dua was answered, and I received a fully funded Graduate Teaching Assistantship along with the “Fund the Future: Supporting Professional Development in the MA Geography Program” scholarship at the University of Toledo in the United States in Fall 2025.

To the aspirants, I want to say that even if your grades or research work aren’t exceptional, it does not define your potential. Success depends on how you plan your journey. Identify your strengths—whether in research, projects, or practical skills- and highlight them in your applications. Apply strategically by shortlisting universities that match your profile, reaching out to professors early, and preparing strong statements of purpose. Start applications as early as possible and stay consistent. Most importantly, never lose faith in yourself because with persistence, faith, and the right strategy, opportunities will open up beyond your imagination."
