সাত তলার আদরের একমাত্র মেয়েটিকে ছেলেপক্ষ আজ আংটি পড়াতে এসেছে। পুরো বাসাটা মানুষে ঠাসা, মেতেছে উৎসবে।

আর ঠিক নিচে ছয় তলায় বুড়ো-বুড়ি দুজনেই অসু-স্থ। ওষুধ কিনে দেয়ার লোক পর্যন্ত নেই। দুপুরে সিকিউরিটি গার্ডকে অনুরোধ করে খুুব জরুরী কিছু ওষুধ আনিয়ে নিয়েছে।

পাঁচতলার নিতু ব্যাগ গোছাচ্ছে। চলে যাবে আজ। সংসারটা বোধহয় আর টিকলো না।

দীর্ঘ বারো বছর পর চারতলার দম্পতির ছেলে সন্তান হয়েছে। হাসপাতাল থেকে ছাড়া পেয়েছে আজই। চারতলার নিস্প্রাণ দেয়ালগুলো এর আগে ওই ঘরে এত আনন্দ দেখেনি।

তিনতলার ছেলেটা হাই ভলিউমে গান ছেড়েছে। মাঝে মাঝে ওর মন বেশি ভালো হলে পুরো বাড়ি কাঁপিয়ে গান শুনে।

এরই মাঝে একটু আগে খবর এলো দু তলার চাচা দীর্ঘদিন আইসিইউতে থেকে আজ মা*রা গেলেন।

আহ জীবন! একই ছাঁদের নিচে কত গল্প, কত কাহিনী 🙂
