Mysterious murder of speech and hearing impaired woman Likhon Akhtar (25) ::

Date and time of incident- 19/05/2025, estimated to be between 04:30 AM and 05:30 AM.

Location- Room 05 on the right side of the stairs of the 3rd floor (Malek Manzil) building of a person named Golam Mostafa on the bank of the Arichpur Gazi Bari pond in Ward 56 under Tongi East Police Station.

Brief description of the incident- Initially, it is known that on the mentioned date, time and place, the victim- Likhon Akhtar (25) is a speech and hearing impaired, a third class employee (computer operator) of the Social Welfare Department under Tongi East Police Station, father- Selim Hawlader, mother- Razia Begum, Sang Nayakhali Bhandaria, Police Station + District Pirojpur. A/P Sang-Arichpur Gazi Bari Pukurpar, a tenant of Golam Mostafa, Thana Tongi East, GMP Gazipur, was killed by unknown people after tying his hands and feet, hitting him in various parts of his body and closing the door from outside the room.
A female tenant of the house next door saw Likhon Akhter entering the house after performing ablution outside for Fajr prayers at 4:30 am.

Later, at approximately 11:15 am, the people of the house next door, not seeing the victim and calling out but not getting any response, opened the door of the victim and saw the victim's body and informed the police. SI/Abul Hossain of Tongi East Police Station along with the force arrived at the spot and took the body into custody and prepared a post-mortem report.

A murder case is under process at Tongi East Police Station in this regard.
