আমাদের আলমারির কোণায় পড়ে থাকে কত পুরোনো শীতের জামা-কাপড়, লেপ-কম্বল—
যেগুলো হয়তো আর আমরা ব্যবহার করি না।

কিন্তু ভেবে দেখুন তো,
এই শীতের রাতে রাস্তায়, বস্তিতে, দরিদ্র ঘরে থাকা মানুষগুলোর জন্য এই পুরোনো জামা-কাপড় বা লেপ-কম্বলই হতে পারে উষ্ণতার একমাত্র ভরসা।

তারা কি আমাদের পরে থাকা শীতের জামা-কাপড় বা লেপ-কম্বল থেকে একটু উষ্ণতা পেতে পারে না?

আমরা কি পারি না
পুরোনো জামা-কাপড় বা লেপ-কম্বল দিয়ে এই শীতে তাদের পাশে দাঁড়াতে?
