আমার খুব করে লুকাতে ইচ্ছে করে—
যেমন ছোট্ট শিশুরা মায়ের আঁচলের আড়ালে লুকিয়ে থাকে,
তেমনি আমারও ইচ্ছে করে
লুকিয়ে থাকতে এই মাটির বুকে।

এই কোলাহলময় পৃথিবী থেকে,
নিজেকে একটু আড়াল করে রাখতে চাই।

এমন এক জায়গায়,
যেখানে থাকবে না কোনো কোলাহল,
থাকবে না ভালোবাসা নামের কোনো মরীচিকা—
থাকবে শুধু নিস্তব্ধতা,
আর আমার প্রতিপালকের স্মরণে
একটু শান্তি।
