We are deeply grateful to everyone who prayed for my younger brother, expressed condolences, and stood beside us in this time of grief. Your love and prayers have been a great source of strength for our family.

At the request of our beloved Shanto’s mother (my aunt), we kindly ask—
for a few days, please refrain from uploading Shanto’s pictures on social media, and avoid commenting on the photos or videos previously posted from his profile. Every time his pictures appear, his father, Taibul Member, breaks down completely and keeps crying endlessly. At this moment, it has become unbearably painful for the family.

Let us all pray—
May Allah forgive all the shortcomings of my younger brother Hasibul Hasan Shanto, make his grave a garden of Paradise, and grant him the highest place in Jannatul Ferdous.

Assalamu Alaikum,
This is to inform you that on Saturday, 19.07.2025, due to the road expansion works of Dhaka-Sylhet Highway and Itakhola-Mothkhola Regional Highway under the supervision of the Roads and Highways Department, Narsingdi, the contractor will carry out the relocation of the 11 kV electric line.

For this reason, from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM, power supply will remain suspended in the following areas of Shibpur Upazila:
Shibpur Municipality, Bailabo, Chakrada, Boroigao, Lakushi, Chandertek, Pachar Bari, Ashrabpur, Puber Gao, Kutubertek, Chalitakandi, Bilsoron, Dulalpur, Satpaika, Alinagar, Paratala, Lakhpur, Gorbari, Shimulia, Manikdi and surrounding areas.

138 Underprivileged Families Receive Eid Essentials in Shibpur

As part of its ongoing humanitarian efforts, the Dorgarbond Probashi Volunteer Foundation has distributed Eid essentials and cash assistance to 138 underprivileged families in Shibpur, Narsingdi, for the seventh consecutive year.

The distribution took place on Thursday (March 27) in Dorgarbond village, Dulalpur Union, Shibpur Upazila, Narsingdi. Each family received a package containing:

Sugar: 1 kg

Soybean oil: 1 liter

Laccha semai: 200 grams

Powdered milk: 25 grams

Masoor dal: 1 kg

Polao rice: 1 kg

Cash assistance: Tk 500

Founded by expatriates, the Dorgarbond Probashi Volunteer Foundation has been actively working to support the less fortunate since its inception. Over the years, it has conducted free medical camps, blood donation drives, free blood group testing, mosquito eradication programs to prevent dengue, free Quran education, scholarships and educational material distribution for underprivileged students, marriage assistance for destitute women, medical aid, and employment initiatives under its self-reliance project. The foundation also conducts public awareness campaigns featuring Quranic and Hadith-based messages across the village.

During the distribution event, key attendees included Treasurer Robiul Bhuiyan, Relief and Medical Affairs Secretary Bashar Khan, and Advisor Farid Shikder. General members present were Ohid, Masud Khan, and Azizul.

Volunteers involved in the initiative included Masuk Bhuiyan, Sajid Khan, Lijon Khan, Sourav, Sahed, Tamim, Shakil, Nijamuddin, Mihir, Asif, Badon, Mojammel, Shohid, and Ferdous.

Speaking at the event, foundation leaders reiterated their commitment to continuing such welfare initiatives in the future, ensuring that no one in their community is left behind during times of need.

Anti-Corruption Awareness Meeting and Debate Competition Held in Shibpur

With the slogan "The unity of youth against corruption will build a pure future," an anti-corruption awareness meeting and debate competition were held at Bright School in Shibpur Upazila. The event aimed to instill the practice of honesty among students and was organized by the Shibpur Upazila Corruption Prevention Committee on Sunday, March 9, at 11:00 AM.

The meeting was presided over by Maulana Mostafizur Rahman Kawsar, Chairman of the Managing Committee of Bright School. The event's chief guest was Maulana Md. Monzur Hossain Fakir, Principal of Dulalpur Senior Fazil Madrasa. Special guests included Md. Arifur Rahman, Head Teacher of Bright School, and Md. Asaduzzaman Asad, General Secretary of the Shibpur Upazila Corruption Prevention Committee, among others.

In the first session, a debate competition was held on the topic "The spread of corruption is due to a lack of values and patriotism." The debate was moderated by Md. Obaidullah Sheikh, Assistant Teacher of Bright School. The panel of judges consisted of Md. Mahfuz Ahmed, Md. Tanshen, and Sumi Farzana, all Assistant Teachers of Bright School.

Following the debate competition, the anti-corruption awareness meeting took place, where the distinguished guests delivered speeches emphasizing the importance of integrity and ethical values. The event concluded with an award distribution ceremony.
