It is better to leave someone who hurts you more if you hold on to them; to save yourself, you have to cut off the poisonous illusion.

Sometimes we cling to people who constantly hurt us. We think that love lasts only if we keep on clinging, but the reality is that some illusions only increase the pain. It is much more important to get out of that toxic relationship than to end yourself bit by bit.

Cut off the illusion may not be easy, but if you want to maintain mental peace and existence, you have to take this difficult decision. At the end of the day, learning to love yourself is the most liberating thing.
