Apparently, if youâre not washing dirty cloth diapers by hand, you donât truly love your baby! And according to some people, putting your baby in disposable diapers just means youâre a lazy mom! đ
I recently saw a post where a mom proudly shared that she never used diapers on her child to honor her husbandâs wishes, treating it like the ultimate motherhood achievement. Reading that made me want to jump in and share my two cents as a mom.
Honest questionâis using modern convenience actually a crime? Times have changed, and so has motherhood. If suffering is the only benchmark for being a good mom, shouldnât we give up every other modern comfort too?
This isnât about disrespecting your partner either. Decisions like these should simply be made together, based on what works best for your family and keeps your baby comfortable.
A few gentle reminders for everyone:
đ Laundry volume doesn't define motherhood: Washing cloth vs. using diapers says zero about a motherâs love, sacrifice, or dedication.
đ A momâs mental & physical health matters: An exhausted, burnout mom will struggle much more to take care of herself and give quality time to her child.
đ Every family has a different reality: Some people have extra help, others do everything solo. Some work non-stop, others have a bit more time. Doing what works for YOUR household is just smart parenting.
Choosing diapers or not isn't something to brag about, nor is it a way to look down on others. Itâs literally just a Parenting Choice.
At the end of the day, every single one of us just wants the best for our kids. So instead of judging someone elseâs motherhood using our own tape measure, letâs just respect each other's choices and realities. â¤ī¸
