Ship traffic through the Strait of Hormuz reached its highest level since the outbreak of the Middle East conflict in late February, according to maritime tracking firm Kpler.

At least 35 commodity carriers transited the vital waterway on Monday, marking the busiest day since the war began. The strait, which handles roughly a fifth of the world's oil and gas exports, remains a key route for global energy supplies.

Four people were killed and fuel sales were suspended following Ukrainian attacks on Russian-occupied Crimea that targeted military and energy facilities on June 20.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed the strikes, which hit an oil depot in the Russian-occupied Crimean city of Kerch and an oil transport facility in Russia's Krasnodar region overnight.

Crimean Governor Sergei Aksyonov said fuel stations across the peninsula had suspended sales to the public and businesses, with supplies restricted to government agencies responsible for essential services and security.

Iranian state media reported Iran's delegation left US-Iran talks that began early on June 21 in Switzerland in protest over comments made by US President Donald Trump.

The talks, mediated by Qatar and Pakistan, lasted 80 minutes and focused on implementing a memorandum of understanding between Tehran and Washington, according to officials from both sides.

Members of the Iranian negotiating team said the talks also addressed the situation in Lebanon and did not include discussions on Iran's nuclear programme.

Iranian negotiators also said broader negotiations would not proceed if the war in Lebanon continues. Meanwhile, chief negotiator Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf warned that US should be careful with their statements as Iran's armed forces are prepared to respond to any threats.

"What about the thousands of soldiers they blew up? Mistakes are made. War is nasty," Trump said.

The strike took place on February 28, when the US and Israel launched attacks on Iran. On the same day, a US Tomahawk cruise missile hit the Shajareh Tayyebeh Girls' Elementary School in Minab.
