It's a confusing time we are going through. The generation of AI is a bit scary to newcomers in the industry. They often get confused when it's time to decide where they should invest their precious time and get exceptional results.
As a video editor, I can assure that it's a valuable skill to have if marketed right and worked a little hard. No AI can replace a thoughtful cut in a video.
If you know your craft well, you will be rewarded.
Besides the core skill, it's also essential to have some soft skills, like good communication and a problem-solving mindset, and a learning mindset.
