এক যুদ্ধে একজন সৈন্য তার আহত বন্ধুকে যুদ্ধক্ষেত্র থেকে ফিরিয়ে আনতে গিয়েছিল।

তার ক্যাপ্টেন বললেন, 'এর কোনো লাভ নেই! তোমার বন্ধু অবশ্যই মারা যাবে।

কিন্তু সৈনিক তখনও গিয়ে তার বন্ধুকে ফিরিয়ে আনল।

মৃতদেহ দেখে ক্যাপ্টেন বলে, 'আমি তোমাকে বলেছিলাম এর কোন মূল্য নেই। সে মারা গেছে'।

সৈনিক উত্তর দেয়: 'না স্যার, এটা সত্যিই মূল্যবান ছিল। যখন আমি তার কাছে গেলাম, আমার বন্ধু আমাকে দেখে, হাসল এবং তার শেষ কথাগুলো বলল:

"আমি জানতাম তুমি আসবে'
