A recent report by the United Nations Human Rights Office has unveiled extensive human rights violations during the student-led protests in Bangladesh between July 1 and August 15, 2024. The report estimates that up to 1,400 individuals were killed, with approximately 12-13% of the victims being children. The majority of these deaths resulted from actions by security forces under the directive of the then-government led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina
