What does it mean to build a truly successful business today? As students and future corporate professionals, we often focus heavily on profit margins, but real leadership is increasingly measured by the positive impact we leave on communities and society.
On July 6, 2026, the Center for Research and Development (CRD) at the Army Institute of Business Administration - AIBA, Sylhet organized a highly engaging seminar on "𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗕𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗽𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽". We had the distinct privilege of learning from keynote speaker 𝗔 𝗞 𝗠 𝗠𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘂𝗱𝗱𝗶𝗻 𝗖𝗵𝗼𝘄𝗱𝗵𝘂𝗿𝘆, Managing Director of Grameen Kalyan. He shared practical, real-world insights on moving beyond traditional profit-centric business frameworks toward ethical, sustainable development and responsible leadership.
The entire session challenged us to reshape how we view our career paths. Between breaking down the core principles of social business and reflecting on Dr. Muhammad Yunus’s powerful reminder that humans are naturally born to be entrepreneurs rather than just employees, the energy in the room was incredibly inspiring. The session became even more dynamic during an interactive Q&A segment. To add to the day's value, we were also fortunate to hear spontaneous, motivating perspectives from Mr. Chowdhury's wife, who joined him in enriching the discussion with the students.
A standout highlight of the event was a wonderful exchange of appreciation. Our Honorable Director sir, Brigadier General Kazi Mohammad Kaiser Hossain, ndu, psc (Retd.), presented a commemorative gift to our distinguished guest. In a deeply meaningful gesture, Mr. Chowdhury returned the honor by presenting our Director with a copy of the book “𝙏𝙧𝙞𝙥𝙡𝙚 𝙕𝙚𝙧𝙤”, personally signed by Nobel Laureate Professor Muhammad Yunus.
